Position: Lead Technical Support Engineer
Location: San Francisco or Bay Area, Ca
Compensation: Compensation $145- $175k plus equity options (Depending on Experience)
Our client is a market leader in the booming area of Operational Technology, Industrial Control System (OT, ICS) cyber security and is looking for talent globally to continue its success!
You will be doing your part, as a lead technical support engineer, to protect human lives as well as millions in revenue by acting as the technical subject matter expert working with the Sales and PM teams to deploy cutting edge cyber security technology within named accounts. You’ll support the education, and adoption of solutions to help targeted accounts protect their Operational Technology or Industrial Control Systems (ICS) environments. In this role, you will have to be highly proficient in enterprise security architectures, cybersecurity product suites and technologies, networking technologies, and comfortable working in various Industrial Control System environments.
Key Responsibilities: what you will be doing day in and day out
-Provide Technical Support to customers and partners.
-Provide configurations, troubleshooting and best practices to customers.
-Managing support cases to ensure issues are recorded, tracked, resolved, and follow ups are done in a timely manner.
-Provide fault isolation and root cause analysis for technical issues.
-Publish Technical Support articles and other technical documentation in the Knowledge Base.
-Review of technical documentation for training materials, technical marketing collateral, manuals, troubleshooting guides, etc.
-Travel may be required to customer sites in the event of a critical situation to expedite resolution.
-Travel overseas once a quarter to meet with leaders
Key requirements: without these you’re probably not the best fit
-5+ plus years of related experience working with Enterprise level accounts.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Required experience with networking, TCP/IP and related protocols.
-Experience with Network Security technologies and concepts.
-Strong ability to independently debug broad, complex, and unique architectures of products is
-BS/MS or equivalent experience required.
-Experience with Cyber Security and Linux required.
-Experience using Support Platform Software such as Zendesk, Jira or similar required.
-Ability to analyze packets with Wireshark.
-Ability to analyze SQL queries and report on findings
-Experience with Snort, Suricata, Java a plus
-Experience with Active Directory a plus
